About the team

The project of the National Football Academy for the Kazakhstan U-16 team is being implemented as part of the partnership between FIFA and the Kazakhstan Football Federation (KFF) and is aimed at developing youth football in the country.

It should be noted that in 2023, as part of its strategic goal of talent development, KFF held negotiations with FIFA, presenting its vision for training young players.

As a result of these negotiations, cooperation was established with FIFA's High Performance Department, led by the legendary coach Arsène Wenger, and the National Football Academy for the Kazakhstan U-16 team was created.

The U-16 team will play its home matches at the National Teams’ training base in Talgar. Thus, the team will occupy the regional quota of the Almaty region for participation in the QJ League.
