Here is how the matches of Freedom QJ League B Matchweek 10 unfolded.
Comeback in Ust-Kamenogorsk
The main story of the matchweek came at Vostok Stadium, where Altay hosted Okzhetpes. The home side were 3–0 up at half-time: Daulet Dautbayev scored twice within a few minutes, while Yaroslav Vishnevetskiy, who had earlier provided an assist, found the net late in the first half.
The second half completely turned the game around. Almerek Karbayev pulled one back for Okzhetpes in the 47th minute, and just a minute later Anar Mirzayev reduced the deficit to one. Mirzayev struck again in the 70th minute to complete his brace and level the score. Soon afterwards, Okzhetpes were reduced to ten men – Amirkhan Mukhtar received his second yellow card for stopping a promising attack.
Nevertheless, the dismissal did not prevent the visitors from completing the comeback: in the 90th minute, Avram Rudenko scored Okzhetpes’ fourth goal to leave Altay empty-handed – 3–4.
The three goals were Altay’s best attacking return in a single match this season, with the team having scored only nine times in ten matchweeks. However, it was still not enough to earn any points. Daulet Dautbayev took his personal tally to five goals, but his team remain bottom of the table with one point and are still the only side in the league without a victory. Okzhetpes now have 17 points and sit fourth.
Six Zhenis goals scored by six different players
At Astana Arena, the league leaders thrashed Kyzylzhar 6–2. All six goals were scored by different players: Abyz Yergaliuly, Ilya Goryachikh, Daut Khusen, Yerdaulet Ismailov, Mukhammedali Paizolda and Nurabi Nurlan all found the net.
Abylaikhan Kenzhadoyev and Suleman Zhetpispay scored for the visitors, with the latter converting a penalty and finishing the match with a goal and an assist. Kyzylzhar were reduced to ten men in the 76th minute after captain Yelnur Orak received his second yellow card.
Zhenis moved onto 24 points and increased their lead over Jaiyq to three points. The capital club have the best attacking record in the competition with 27 goals. Kyzylzhar sit second from bottom with eight points, while their 27 goals conceded is the worst defensive record in the league.
Jaiyq and Khan-Tengri extend their drawing streaks
The teams sitting second and third in the standings met in Uralsk and shared the points in a 2–2 draw. Khan-Tengri forward Timur Khvan opened the scoring in the 22nd minute. Supyan Khasanov equalised in the 39th, but Dinmukhamed Tailan restored the visitors’ lead before half-time. Khasanov completed his brace in the 52nd minute to establish the final score.
Jaiyq finished the match with ten men after Rami Zhaksylyk was shown a straight red card in the 84th minute.
An interesting detail is that this was the third consecutive draw for both teams.
Ontustyk gather momentum
The Shymkent side confidently defeated Zhetysu 4–1. Captain Nurdaulet Tileules opened the scoring in the 43rd minute. Adil Amangazy equalised after the break, but the hosts then scored three times through Alzair Rais, Arda Mukhtarov and Asylbek Fakhriddinov, who completed the scoring in added time.
The two-time League B champions currently sit fifth with 16 points. They are one point behind Okzhetpes and two behind Khan-Tengri. Zhetysu have lost three of their last four matches and occupy sixth place.
Seven-goal thriller in Atyrau
The most dramatic match of the round was the meeting between Atyrau and Yelimay.
The hosts fell behind as early as the second minute after defender Ruslan Tolendi scored an own goal. Nurbek Amangeldi restored parity by the 30th minute, before Alikhan Serikkali put Atyrau ahead shortly after the restart.
The visitors responded with two goals in three minutes. Sanzhar Bekenov scored in the 48th minute, taking his season tally to seven goals – the second-best result in the goalscoring race. Daniyal Toleubayev then struck in the 50th minute to give Yelimay a 3–2 lead.
However, the hosts refused to give up. Half-time substitute Nursultan Zhomart equalised in the 55th minute, before defender Bogdan Grabko scored the winning goal in the 82nd – 4–3.
Atyrau are unbeaten in three consecutive matchweeks and sit eighth with 12 points. Yelimay also have 12 points but are one place higher due to their superior goal difference.
