Here are the key moments from the latest matches of the girls’ competition.
A dominant win in Karaganda
The central match of the round saw Shakhter host Kairat. The visitors opened the scoring in the 11th minute, led 6–0 at half-time and eventually recorded the biggest victory of the tournament so far – 0–11.
Two Kairat players scored hat-tricks: Sofia Yagudina and Elizaveta Ostertak. Milena Nikolenko netted twice and also provided three assists, while Aya Muttari, Zhaniya Makhash from the penalty spot and substitute Yasmina Tokhniyazova added one goal each.
Kairat have now scored 31 goals in six matchweeks. Shakhter dropped to fifth place with eight points. The Karaganda side are level with Aktobe and Tobyl but trail them on additional criteria.
Pazyl’s brace keeps Astana top
The capital side claimed all three points away to Aktobe with a 0–2 victory. Asyl Pazyl scored both goals, opening the scoring in the 33rd minute before sealing the result in the 78th.
The forward now has five goals in five appearances this season – the second-best tally in the goalscoring race. Astana remain the only unbeaten team in the competition and also boast the best defensive record, having conceded just three goals in six matchweeks.
With 16 points, Astana retained top spot and remain one point ahead of Kairat. Aktobe sit third after the defeat.
Irtysh claim their first victory
The match in Kyzylorda remained goalless for a long time, but Polina Arlanova struck in the 74th minute to secure a 0–1 victory for Irtysh.
It was the long-awaited first win of the season for the Pavlodar side. Before this match, they had collected only one draw in the opening round and suffered four consecutive defeats. Irtysh now have four points and sit sixth.
Kaisar suffered their fifth straight defeat and remain bottom with three points. Interestingly, the Kyzylorda side had conceded exactly five goals in each of their previous defeats. This time the margin was minimal, but it still brought them no points. They also have the least productive attack in the competition, with four goals in six matchweeks.
Fourth consecutive draw for Ordabasy
Ordabasy and Tobyl shared the points in Shymkent. Amura Karabayeva opened the scoring in the 16th minute, but the hosts turned the game around after the break: captain Balnur Yergeshbek converted a penalty in the 47th minute, before substitute Diana Sitnikova put the Shymkent side ahead in the 54th. Tobyl midfielder Alina Sartayeva equalised in the 75th minute to establish the final score – 2–2.
Ordabasy have now drawn four matchweeks in a row. Following Irtysh’s victory, they are the only team yet to win this season, with four draws and two defeats.
