Another game week in the Freedom QJ League has come to an end. Here’s a recap of the brightest moments of the round.
Almaty Teams Draw Again
The clash between Kairat and Zhas Kyran ended in a result that left both sides unsatisfied – neither managed to score.
As a result, Zhas Kyran keeps their second spot in the standings. However, their position is shaky, since the gap to fourth place is just one point.
Astana Pushes Shakhtyor Down
The Karaganda side lost 2–4 to the capital club – Astana settled everything before halftime. Daniyal Nazarov, Sanzhar Kuandyk, Alen Pak, and Ruslan Valikhan got on the scoresheet.
In the second half, Shakhtyor managed to respond with two goals – Gleb Makridov and Egor Pushchin scored.
Now Astana sits in third place with 33 points, surpassing the Karaganda team thanks to additional metrics. The capital side may even aim for silver – after all, Zhas Kyran is just one point ahead.
Irtysh and Ordabasy Stay in the Race
The top six remains tightly packed – every team chasing Kairat still has a chance to win medals.
The Shymkent side scored three unanswered goals against Caspiy – Akhan Serik netted a brace, with another goal from Zhandos Doskhal.
Pavlodar’s Irtysh produced a similar result against Tobol: Abulmansur Kassymtay scored twice, and Azamat Gostischev added another. Kostanay’s side, however, managed to pull one back through Aday Ormanov.
With three weeks left in the season, only three points separate second from sixth place – the battle is wide open.
A Rout in Atyrau
Taraz recorded a huge away victory over Atyrau – 7–1.
Yerkebulan Naukhanbay and Ziyat Baubek each bagged a brace, while Azizjon Berdiyev, Yersultan Baiten, and Zhanserik Zheten also scored. The consolation goal came from Kamil Gatikh.
With this result, the southerners confirmed their status as leaders of the bottom half of the table – theoretically, only Aktobe can challenge them.
Second Straight Win for the Red-and-Whites
Aktobe extended their lead over the bottom four with a home win against Kaisar.
The Wolves struck first through midfielder Ilyas Sultanbek, but the hosts responded with goals from Amanbek Niyarov, Alisher Abilov, and Khamza Zhienkazy.
The Red-and-Whites sit eighth in the standings, seven points ahead of ninth-placed Atyrau.
