The second season of the QJ League has come to an end – and, of course, it had its own heroes
At the closing ceremony held on December 1 at the Almaty Theatre, the symbolic team of the tournament was announced.
The team included goalkeeper Yan Lalov (Shakhtyor), defenders Ivan Pivovarov (Tobol), Daniyar Tashpulatov (Kairat), Amirbek Bazarbayev (Kairat), and Azizjon Berdiyev (Taraz), midfielders Roman Assylbayev (Shakhtyor), Alan Azamat (Astana), and Azamat Tuyakbayev (Kairat), as well as forwards Nurdaulet Orynbassar (Taraz), Bakdaulet Nuraly (Ordabasy), and Dastan Satpayev (Kairat).
Shakhtyor goalkeeper Yan Lalov set a tournament record for clean sheets: 8 out of 22 matches. He saved 74 out of 99 shots on goal. His outstanding performance not only secured him a spot on the symbolic team but also earned him the Alexander Ubykin Award for the best goalkeeper of the season.
Tobol defender Ivan Pivovarov led the tournament in interceptions, recording 163 in 21 matches. Additionally, he ranked in the top four for tackles and recoveries (276) and secured second place in accurate passes (779).
Kairat defender Daniyar Tashpulatov became the tournament's top assist provider, delivering 9 assists in 19 matches. He also scored 2 goals, making him one of the best defenders in terms of goal contributions. He trails only Abzal Sagyn from Astana (12 points compared to 11).
Kairat defender Amirbek Bazarbayev received the Evgeny Yarovenko Award for the best defender of the season. Despite playing only 17 matches, he delivered 643 accurate passes out of 799 (80% accuracy), made 204 tackles and recoveries, 50 interceptions, scored 4 goals, and provided 1 assist.
Taraz defender Azizjon Berdiyev ranked among the top three players in the tournament for accurate passes: 760 out of 960. Additionally, in 20 matches, he scored 2 goals, provided 3 assists, made 97 interceptions, and 202 tackles and recoveries.
Shakhtyor midfielder Roman Assylbayev was awarded the Anton Shokh Award for the best midfielder of the season. Over 20 matches, he scored 10 goals and provided 8 assists, ranking sixth in the goal+assist standings. He is also one of the best midfielders in duels won: 283 out of 662.
Astana player Alan Azamat scored 6 goals and provided 4 assists in 22 matches. He won 239 duels out of 535.
Kairat player Azamat Tuyakbayev ranks among the top scorers and goal+assist leaders of the tournament. In 18 matches, he scored 18 goals and provided 8 assists.
Taraz forward Nurdaulet Orynbassar received the Eduard Son Award for the best forward. In 17 matches, he scored 15 goals and provided 4 assists. Notably, he made only 29 shots on target, meaning nearly every second shot resulted in a goal.
Ordabasy forward Bakdaulet Nuraly became the tournament's top scorer and was awarded the Evstafiy Pekhlevanidi Award. He scored 22 goals in 22 matches and provided 6 assists, making him the leader in the goal+assist standings.
Kairat forward Dastan Satpayev won the Bakhtiyor Zainutdinov Award for the most valuable player of the tournament. In just 12 matches, he scored 19 goals and provided 7 assists. Unsurprisingly, his stellar season has sparked interest from European clubs, according to media reports.
Each player in the symbolic team of the QJ League had an outstanding season and deserved their place.
But with a new season on the horizon, new stars are bound to shine in the league!
