FIFA technical consultant for the National Academy of the Kazakhstan national team, Stewart Hall, commented on the participation of the KFF U16 team in the upcoming Freedom QJ League U18 B championship.
– It’s fantastic, because FIFA recommends that 15-, 16-, and 17-year-old boys should play around 45 matches a year. The only way to achieve that is by participating in the QJ League. So for us, this cooperation is extremely important.
You know you’re preparing all week for just one match at the weekend, and that makes periodization easier. Plus, I like the format where one week you play at home, and the next week you play away.
The boys gain all this experience of traveling, maintaining proper sleep routines, and balanced nutrition at hotels. It’s a very professional setup and an ideal option for us. The fact that the KFF U16 team will compete against older players is another positive factor for the development of our youngsters.
