After suffering a loss in the opening match of the Freedom QJ League W, Shakhtyor's women’s team from Karaganda has made solid progress. A key role in their rise has been played by the attacking duo of Saida Dyussembayeva and Damira Maksat.
The young forwards have scored seven goals between them — nearly half of all Shakhtyor’s goals across the first four weeks. Five of them belong to Dyussembayeva, and in every one of those cases, the assist came from Maksat.
Ahead of Shakhtyor’s match against Kairat in Almaty, let’s revisit each goal from this dangerous pairing.
Irtysh – Shakhtyor (5:1)
Despite a heavy defeat in Pavlodar, Saida managed to score a consolation goal in the 64th minute. She converted a corner kick from Maksat into the back of the net.
Shakhtyor – Tobol (6:2)
Before delivering two assists, Maksat scored herself. On 55 minutes, she played the ball Dyussembayeva, who fired a spectacular shot from outside the box to score.
Ordabasy – Shakhtyor (2:4)
By the 29th minute, Shakhtyor was trailing 0:1 in Shymkent. Maksat broke through the defensive line with a precise pass, sending Saida one-on-one with the keeper. Dyussembayeva finished calmly to spark the comeback.
The final goal of the match came in the 51st minute, when Maksat scored from a Tolganay Amantay assist.
Shakhtyor – Zhetisu (4:2)
Dyussembayeva first equalized in the 12th minute following a corner routine. Soon after, Danagul Akhmetzhan put Shakhtyor ahead.
Though the visitors from Taldykorgan drew level again, the duo struck before halftime — Maksat delivered a good ball, and Dyussembayeva restored the lead with a composed finish.
A reminder: the Kairat vs Shakhtyor match kicks off on Thursday at 10:00. Will the duo strike again and upset the hosts? We’ll find out very soon.
