The title of the best goalkeeper of the past Freedom QJ League season was awarded to Mirdiyor Mirakhmatov, the shot-stopper of FC Ordabasy.
He conceded only 6 goals in 16 matches and kept 8 clean sheets. In total, Mirakhmatov made 42 saves, playing a key role in Shymkent’s team securing the bronze medals.
Thanks to the League’s partner Freedom Bank, the winners of the individual awards — “Most Valuable Player”, “Best Goalkeeper”, “Best Defender”, “Best Midfielder”, and “Best Forward” — will each receive 200,000 tenge in prize money.
“The emotions are really special. This recognition reflects the work of the entire team, not just mine. It’s great to see that our effort is noticed and appreciated.
The season was challenging, but very productive. The boys made huge progress — and that’s what matters most. I was impressed by how quickly young players adapt and accept the demands. The brightest moment was when the team pulled out a tough match in the end, showing real character.
My goals for next season are stability, growth, and more confidence in every game. I’ll spend the prize money on education, equipment, and recovery — everything that helps me grow professionally.
To future debutants of the League, I want to say: don’t be afraid, trust yourself and work hard. Mistakes are part of development. The main thing is to step onto the pitch boldly and enjoy the game,” he said in his interview.
